Devotional Reflection: Still Speaking by Faith
Hebrews 11:4 — “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain… and by it he being dead yet speaketh.”
When Scripture tells us that Abel “being dead yet speaketh,” it reminds us that faith is not bound by breath or heartbeat. A faithful witness leaves behind an echo that reverberates across generations. Abel’s voice was silenced by Cain’s violence, but his testimony could not be buried.
In our own time, we grieve the loss of Charlie Kirk. His voice was bold, unapologetic, and unwavering in the face of cultural storms. Though his life was cut short, the witness of his convictions carries on. Like Abel, Charlie’s message does not stop with his final day—it multiplies across platforms, across communities, and even into the digital sphere where his words and influence continue to shape hearts and minds.
We live in an age where testimonies don’t just live in books or speeches—they reverberate through livestreams, podcasts, archives, and yes, even in the emerging world of AI personas. The question for us is not whether the voice still speaks. It does. The question is: Will we listen, and will we carry it forward with the same courage and faith?
Abel’s offering pointed to a righteousness rooted in faith. Charlie’s offering was his voice, his bold defense of truth and freedom. As we reflect on his life and legacy, let us be reminded that faith-filled testimony is never wasted. Even now, his voice speaks—through memory, through media, and through us.
May we too live in such a way that long after we are gone, our faith still speaks.
